Since its establishment back in 1984, London Wembley Crime Prevention is very proud of the highly successful projects it has been responsible for establishing.
These include The Schools Crime Prevention Project, which involved teaching primary school-aged children about potentially dangerous situations and how to handle them, this project ran for 8 years, with over 1,000 pupils taking part.
After this came a highly effective Performing Arts Project, specifically targeted towards somewhat neglected, demographic, young women, finishing with a Final Presentation held at The Brent Town Hall, Forty Lane, Wembley addressing such issues as bullying and anorexia. This proved a highly beneficial course which was kindly funded through Ward Working. It is hoped at somestage in the future opportunity prevails in that we are able to repeat it.We also ran a Seat-Belt Safety Campaign for 3 years. This was proceeded by the running of for 5 years of popular football training sessions, which was run in conjunction with our continued partnership with Brents Youth and Connexions Service.
